FAQ
- How is the amount per person calculated?
- The bill plus tip is split evenly across the number of people: (bill + tip) ÷ number of people. It doesn't account for people ordering different amounts.
- Is the tip calculated before or after tax?
- This tool applies the tip percentage to whatever amount you enter as the bill. If you want to tip on the pre-tax amount, enter the pre-tax subtotal; if you want to tip on the total including tax, enter that instead.
