1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using DevConvertor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. Description of the service

DevConvertor is a free collection of browser-based developer tools — formatters, validators, converters, calculators, generators, and a small number of network-lookup tools — offered at no cost and without requiring an account. The set of tools offered may change over time.

3. Free use, no account required

Every tool on this site is free to use. No registration, account, email address, or payment is required to use any tool.

4. Your responsibility for how you use these tools

You are solely responsible for the input you provide to any tool and for how you use its output. You should independently verify any result before relying on it for anything important, including production systems, security-sensitive work, legal or financial matters, or published content.

5. No guarantee of accuracy

Every tool is built and tested to work correctly, but DevConvertor makes no guarantee that any tool’s output is error-free, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. This applies in particular to the network-dependent tools (DNS Lookup, WHOIS Lookup, IP Lookup, Domain Age Checker), whose results depend on third-party data sources outside our control and can be incomplete, delayed, or occasionally wrong — see Section 11 below.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DevConvertor to:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the site or the third-party services its tools rely on;
• probe, scan, or attack systems you don’t have explicit authorization to test, including using the DNS/WHOIS/IP lookup tools as part of unauthorized reconnaissance;
• attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security or access-control feature of the site;
• use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the site beyond normal personal use; or
• use the site in any way that violates applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The DevConvertor name, logo, and the site’s own design, code, and written content are the property of their respective owner(s) and are not licensed to you by using the site, beyond what’s necessary to use the tools as intended. You retain all rights to the text, code, or data you enter into any tool — see Section 8.

8. Your content and inputs

When a tool processes your input entirely in your browser (the case for most tools on this site — see the Privacy Policy for the exact list), that content is never transmitted to or stored by DevConvertor. For the small number of network-dependent tools that do send a value to a third-party service, only the specific domain or IP address you enter is sent — never any other tool’s input — and it is not logged or retained by DevConvertor. You retain all ownership of anything you type or paste into any tool.

9. Privacy and data processing

How this site handles data — including exactly which tools are fully client-side and which send data to a third party — is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Browser-side processing

Most tools on this site run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This means their performance and correctness depend on your own device and browser, and that DevConvertor has no visibility into how you use them or what you enter, since nothing is sent to a server for those tools.

11. Network-dependent tools and third-party services

DNS Lookup, WHOIS Lookup, IP Lookup, and Domain Age Checker send the domain or IP address you enter to a third-party service (a public DNS resolver, a domain registry’s WHOIS server, or an IP geolocation service) in order to return a result. These third-party services are outside DevConvertor’s control: their availability, rate limits, and accuracy can change without notice, and DevConvertor is not responsible for their content or behavior. Results — including IP geolocation, which is always approximate — should not be treated as authoritative or precise.

12. Advertising

DevConvertor may display advertising (for example, through Google AdSense) to help support the cost of running the site. Whether advertising is currently active, and exactly what that involves, is described accurately in the Privacy Policy, which reflects the site’s actual current state rather than a general future intention.

13. Cookies and consent

Any use of cookies for purposes beyond your own device (such as by an advertising or consent-management provider) is described in the Privacy Policy. Where legally required, personalized advertising will only run after you’ve been shown an appropriate consent mechanism.

14. Availability and changes to the service

DevConvertor is provided on an as-available basis. We don’t guarantee the site, or any individual tool, will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free. Tools may be added, changed, or removed, and the site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

15. Security

We take reasonable, ordinary care in how this site is built and operated, but no website can be guaranteed to be free of vulnerabilities. Do not use any tool on this site — particularly the password, hash, or JWT-related tools — as your sole safeguard for a genuinely high-stakes secret or credential, and always follow your own organization’s security practices.

16. External links

This site may link to external websites or services (including third-party documentation or the data sources referenced in Section 11). We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any external site.

17. Administrative access

Parts of this site (including any administrative area) are restricted to authorized personnel only. Attempting to access restricted areas without authorization is a violation of these Terms and may violate applicable law.

18. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or block access to the site, in whole or in part, for anyone who violates these Terms or whose use of the site poses a risk to its operation or other users, without prior notice.

19. Disclaimer of warranties

DevConvertor is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including — to the extent permitted by law — implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that any tool’s output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific purpose.

20. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DevConvertor and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — this site or any tool on it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

21. Indemnity

You agree to hold DevConvertor harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by a third party arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the site.

22. Governing terms

These Terms are intended to be read as general, jurisdiction-neutral website terms. No specific jurisdiction, court, or governing law is designated here.

23. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated as the site evolves — for example, when a new tool, a network-dependent feature, or advertising is added. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent real change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
